LAS VEGAS—Masuimi Max, the iconic fetish model and entertainer, has passed away.
Max was found on Thursday morning at her home in Las Vegas, according to TMZ. She was 45.
Masuimi’s career spanned more than two decades in front of the camera and on the stage.
Her extensive modeling career included magazines such as Playboy and Maxim; numerous calendars, catalogs and runways, while her talent for live performances took her around the world as a headlining feature dancer and burlesque artist.
A crossover star who appeared in several mainstream films, Masuimi also starred in music videos for artists such as Nine Inch Nails.
She received the first ever Favorite International Fetish Model award at Erotica LA in 2008 as part of the convention's official Fetish Night.
More recently she was known as America's "Ghoul Next Door,” an electric live performance artist who breathed fire and did a world-class burlesque act.
She was scheduled to perform this Friday at the fetish after-party for Mistress Cyan’s The Lair—a fetish and BDSM exhibition—at the 2024 AVN Show in Las Vegas. Max was also scheduled to appear at a Vegas Chaos anniversary event on Saturday at The Dive Bar, where she was going to do what was billed as a “gorelesque” performance.
Max appeared in the 2006 Vivid Video movie Rebelle Rousers in a non-sex role, and also performed three solo scenes for Twistys in the mid-2000s.
