The castings of superhero movies always make the media abuzz, and rightly so. When you see characters like Wolverine, Captain America and Tony Stark getting attached to the actors that play them permanently, you realize how crucial it is.
The announcements regarding Ben Affleck as Batman and Tom Holland as Spiderman had caused a hailstorm of speculations, all which came to rest after their respective stellar performances. Yet, it is female superhero castings which have higher stakes, and for one reason alone: the impossible looks created in the comics.
